5th Annual Fenders on Front Street
We wanted to thank everyone that came out into the rain to show their cars and participate in the 5th Annual Fenders on Front Street Car Show. We had a great turnout with over 250 registered cars showing up despite the weather. The awards ceremony, held at the Hailstone Feed Store was a great success with 12 winning vehicles. Dan and Maria Claudon won Best of Show (Pictured) with their spectacular 1937 Ford. Jose Jr. of the Triple XXX Rootbeer was honored also as the first inductee to the Fenders on Front Street – Front Bumper – Hall of Fame for his countless contributions to the Fenders on Front Street Car Show and Cruise.
We would like to thank the multiple members of the community for their help in making this show a great success, including, but not limited to Joe and Michelle Forkner and Marv Nielsen. Without their help the show would not have been as wonderful. We would also like to thank Charles McCrone and Kaleidoscope School of Music for their efforts to bring great entertainment to the show and an extra thank you for sticking it out all the way until three o’clock. Thanks to Greg Spranger who once again created great trophies (Marv too!) and to Terry Baldwin for fixing a fantastic lunch for all of our staff and volunteers. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors that have made this show possible. Prevail Credit Union, once again has been our major sponsor and we thank them for all their support toward Fenders and lastly we would like to thank Gravity Janes Cross Fit for running the hand pump railroad car and providing rides for young and old.
We will be updating the Fenders’ web site soon with all of the winners and pictures of the event. Please check back as we will work on getting it updated.
The 6th Annual Fenders on Front Street will be on the 19th of June, 2011. The sun will be shining I am sure and the event will be bigger and better than ever with additional events and more music.
Sincerely,
George Naumann, Fenders on Front Street Chairman and Treasurer
